# Create Your Account

> Sign up with an email, Google or a DeFi wallet.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Sign Up And Sign In Are The Same**\
> There is no separate sign-up form. The first time you sign in, Sonar creates your account. After that, the same steps simply sign you back in.

**1. Open The App**

Go to sonar.trade and choose Launch App.

**2. Choose How To Sign In**

Use your email or Google (both send a one-time code to your email), or connect a DeFi wallet.

**3. You're In**

Your account is active right away. Next, decide where you will trade from.

* **Wallet sign-in**: only proves who you are. It gives Sonar no control over that wallet.
* **Sessions**: end after 24 hours without activity. Sign in again to continue.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Use The Same Sign-In Every Time**\
> Signing in with a different method (for example Google one day and email the next) can create a second, empty account.

## Protect Your Account

Switch on two-factor authentication in Settings, under Security. Sonar then asks for a code when you log in, and you can also ask for one on every send.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Earn Points**\
> Setting up 2FA completes a quest worth 1,000 points.
